Oh. My. Goodness!
These cookies are delicious, Blake even went as far as saying that they were the best cookies he ever had. 🍪
Allow me to explain how these small morsels of deliciousness came to be.
My new friend and I decided we needed some cookies in our life, so yesterday we planned a cookie baking date! We stopped at the store for some supplies and I originally had only planned on getting chocolate chips since I have everything else nessecary to make regular cookies. When I walked down the baked goods aisle however, I saw the vast array of delicious options there were and forgot about chocolate chips all together.
I grabbed a bag of chopped Heath bar and a bag of dark chocolate m&m’s. I also dug through my pantry when I got home and found chopped pecans and mini marshmallows to add to the mix. I wasn’t expecting much from these cookies but they turned out to be the better than any of the other ones I made.
Here’s what you will need if you’d like to make my everything cookies:
For the dough:
- 1 1/2 sticks of butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 to 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
Cream the butter and sugar until fluffy
Add the egg and vanilla and mix until incorporated
Add all of the salt, then add the flour gradually, mixing until a slightly crumbly dough comes together
P.s. This dough is perfect for using cookie cutters on. I also made little owls yesterday and they weren’t misshapen at all. Which was new to me because every time I have used cookie cutters in the past my shapes seem to just turn into blobs.
- Chopped Heath bar
- Chopped pecans
- Mini marshmallows (for topping)
I’m sorry I don’t have exact measurements for this, I pretty much just threw a bunch of everything in except the marshmallows because those go on top! Just go with your gut.. The more the better!
Roll the dough into small balls and flatten them onto the cookie sheet (for some reason this dough doesn’t flatten very well on it’s own). Once you’ve filled the cookie sheet, leaving an inch or so of space between each cookie, place 4-5 mini marshmallows on top of each bit of dough.
Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes or until the marshmallows have turned slightly brown on top.
Allow them to cool before eating and enjoy!!
